There is always so much to do in London and it certainly doesn’t go into hibernation during the winter. So, get your thick coat, woolly hat and snug scarf on and get out there! Here are some of the best things you can do this winter in London…

1. Winter Wonderland

Make your way to Hyde Park from 23rd November for Winter Wonderland! There is so much to do there, including ice skating, rides, shows, shops, restaurants, bars and so much more. Chances are you might see a famous face or two as well so keep your eyes peeled. Nothing is more likely to get you in the Christmas Spirit.

2. Museums

There are absolutely loads of museums all across London that can shelter you from the cold and even better, most are free! Some of the most interesting include the Tate Modern, the Natural History Museum, the Science Museum and the British Museum. London is one of the world’s capitals of culture, so make sure you make time to visit some of these brilliant museums.

3. Ice skating

Winter means one thing – ice skating! Get into the festive spirit by heading to Somerset House during the day for a fun skate, or later in the evening come along and see some big names take to the decks whilst you try not to fall over!

4. Christmas Markets

Cold weather and dark evenings mean only one thing – Christmas is coming! There are loads of awesome Christmas Markets all over London, where you can grab a bargain or simply enjoy a wander with a hot chocolate. Don’t let the weather stop you either – Barbican and Leadenhall markets are both undercover.

5. Parks

Winter shouldn’t stop you visiting London’s beautiful parks. Wrap up warm and kick your way through the fallen leaves and see what the quieter parts of the city offers. There are loads of parks you can wander around – Hyde Park, The Regent’s Park, Kensington Gardens, Kew Gardens and so many more.

There is so much more to do in London this winter. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, check out the studio tour. If you’re a sports fan, there are numerous grounds you can visit including Wembley, Wimbledon and Lords. If they’re not your thing, shopping in London comes alive during the winter! The heart of London’s shopping is of course Oxford Street, but don’t forget about Regent Street, Covent Garden and Bond Street, which all have an array of shops to suit all budgets and tastes. With so much to do, winter in London will always impress!
