The Keen Group provides a professional, licensed, hassle-free minicab & courier service utilising a state-of-the-art booking & despatch system.
There’s something about our reputation for reliability that separates us from the competition. That’s why over 500 drivers have joined The Keen Group and our customers recommend us time and time again.
We offer three methods of booking and three methods of payment, so getting a vehicle is simple. What’s more our offices are open 24/7, so you can contact us anytime.
Our story…
2003 - Formation
Five Wandsworth-based private hire companies, ABC Cars (est. 1986), The Keen Group (est. 1988), KB Cars (est. 1978) and Town & Country Cars (est. 1990) join forces to operate under the banner of The Keen Group
2004 - iSO accreditation
The company achieves quality management and safety systems recognition through a UKAS qualified body, a standard it has maintained to this day
2005 - Full data despatch & vehicle tracking
State of the art Cordic computer system installed, bringing digital booking and despatch to the company
2006 - Stepping into Streatham
Already the largest minicab company in Battersea, Clapham and Wandsworth, the addition of Cosy Cars and Elite Cars gives the company a significant foothold in Streatham
2006 - Into 'The Blue'
Bermondsey-based Blue Anchor Cars acquired
2007 - Dulwich & Crystal Palace follow
Dulwich Cars join the TKG fold along with Eagle Cars in Crystal Palace
2009 - Community transport
The acquisition of Blue Cars in Bermondsey brings with it the opportunity to offer a Special Needs Transport Service. Today we are proud to provide over 100 wheelchair accessible vehicles to local authorities in London
2012 - In-house garage facility
To service the burgeoning fleet, the company opens a vehicle maintenance workshop in south-east London
2013 - Brockley bound
Speedicars in Brockley becomes the tenth member of the group
2013 - Industry recognition
The Keen Group is the proud recipient of a QSi accolade at the annual Professional Driver Magazine awards
2014 - Best new fleet
Industry aggregator, Kabbee, presents The Keen Group with the Best New Fleet Award
2017 - Forming working partnerships
Utilising software developed by Cordic, The Keen Group forms a Job Sharing partnership with a host of other private hire companies. Currently, 70 businesses operate in the soft-merge group, with a combined fleet of over 5,000 vehicles
2020 - MultiFleet
The next logical step in the evolution of the business has seen the company take steps to integrate its fleet and support team with other like-minded companies. By utilising resources the benefit to passengers and drivers alike are numerous, as well as the positive impact on the environment in the reduction of vehicles 'running empty'. RoadRunners of Croydon, Greyhound Cars of Streatham, Carlton Cars of Welling & The Keen Group form the initial founding members of the group.
SW15 - based Roehampton Cars becomes the eleventh member of The Keen Group family
Having reaped the benefits of working with The MultiFleet, RoadRunners formally merged with The Keen Group.
Established in Sydenham since 1991, the fleet of London Cars is merged with The Keen Group, enabling greater synergy between The Keen Group's south-west and south-east London services.
